Baltimore Ravens: Stock up / Stock Down report

October 5, 2022

Whose stock rose or fell after Week Four? Through four games we have a lot to go off of and with the season getting ramped up it’s time to see whose stock is up or down with the Baltimore Ravens.

Week Four has wrapped up with a tough battle with the Buffalo bills. The outcome didn’t end as we want but we showed that we can play with the best in the league.

If you watched the game the Baltimore Ravens’ offense jumped up on the Buffalo Bills’ defense early in the game. Lamar Jackson continued his MVP-like play to give the Baltimore Ravens an early edge. JK Dobbins and the running game looked to be poised for a breakout game.

But the Buffalo Bills showed why they are considered to be Super Bowl favorites. With a big-time second-half comeback, the Bills prevailed 23-20.
After a few days to digest another loss in a way we haven’t seen in the past, there were some good and bad to point out last week.

Which Baltimore Ravens players’ stock rose or fell in Week Four for you? Here are my risers and fallers.

Stock Up

JK Dobbins – If you had any doubt that Dobbins was officially healed from his knee injury, he ended that against the Bills. Dobbins had an excellent game, and his return is crucial to the success of this Ravens offense. He ran with explosiveness and power when given the opportunity and he made the Bills’ defense pay.

Dobbins finished with 13 carries for 61 yards and a touchdown. He also contributed to the passing game with four receptions for 22 yards and a touchdown.

That production is promising and needed since backup Justice Hill might be banged up. Dobbins’ stock should continue to rise.

Marlon Humphrey – “All-Pro Marlo” might be back. Like Dobbins, Humphrey looks to be rejuvenated coming off his injury last season. It’s great to see Humphrey all over the field making plays.
He has interceptions in back-to-back weeks and looks to be the playmaker like in previous years.

When Humphrey is healthy, he can be one of the best playmakers on the field. I look for Humphreys to build off his solid start and bring together this young Ravens secondary.

Baltimore Ravens Stock Down

Stock Down

Isaiah Likely – Everyone and including myself was very excited to see what Likely can do in this offense. Likely lit up training camp and preseason making big plays.

But the transition to regular season play has lowered some of his stock in my opinion. When watching Likely at times he looks confused or thinks too much when on the field. He has had opportunities but hasn’t been able to capitalize.

But to be honest we should have expected this. Likely was a raw prospect coming out of college and should take some time to develop. We should temper expectations and his time will come. But for now, his stock is down a little.

Kyle Hamilton – Another rookie that Ravens fans initially had mixed feelings about. Some questioned GM Eric Decosta when making Hamilton his first pick in the 2022 NFL draft.

To date, Hamilton has been sub-par so far. He made a huge play against the New England Patriots in Week Three with a forced fumble in a key moment of the game.

That was promising for the young rookie, but my concern is his snap percentage. It has gone down a lot since game one and it may be that the defensive staff to further develop him to eliminate miscues.

I would honestly like to see him play more but I trust our coaching staff to make sure he is impactful when needed. For now, his stock is down for me.
